Andy Brown appointed ahead of exciting new programming planned for The King and Prince Golf Course, Home of the Hampton Club
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA.– The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, a MMI Hotel Group property, is pleased to share the appointment of Andy Brown as Golf Professional for The King and Prince Golf Course. Brown brings nearly 30 years of experience in the industry to the historic course with plans to grow and evolve the prestigious club, home of the Hampton Club.
Brown began his career in golf in the early nineties in Brunswick, Georgia. He would venture north to Atlanta, gaining ample experience by holding positions at esteemed courses throughout the metro area. During his time here, he would remain actively involved with the Georgia PGA Section.
Brown returned to the Golden Isles in 2006 to be closer to family and has held positions with notable courses on both Jekyll Island and Sea Island. He joins The King & Prince Golf Course, home of the Hampton Club, on St. Simons Island this fall as the course embarks on a plan to cultivate and reinvigorate membership and member offerings.
“I feel a connection to this area, my hometown, and to this beautiful club,” said Brown. “I am excited to do my part in helping grow the membership, attract golf events to the club, and mentor youth in programs like the local Junior League.”
Plans are currently underway to elevate and reimagine the members’ experience at The King and Prince Golf Course, home of the Hampton Club. A members-only party is scheduled this month in welcome of Brown. The challenging Par-72 course woven amongst towering oaks, vast salt marshes, lakes, and lagoons is open to the public and available for bookings daily.
