WYNTK:
Mizuno Golf has a reputation for making some of the best irons and wedges available and they have been especially popular among better golfers including Tour players. The new ES21 wedges build on their previous experience with the goal of increasing consistency of spin which, on wedge-length shots, is the secret to scoring.

Most wedges are constructed so the sweet spot closer to the heel than the center which hampers consistent impact so the ES21s are constructed with the sweet spot higher in the head and behind the exact center of the face. Mizuno says this dramatically increases repeatable results shot after shot.

Mizuno’s Director of R&D, David Llewellyn, said in the official announcement, “We’ve taken a very Mizuno type approach to the ES21 by keeping the top line very sleek – despite the technology inside. Our testing showed that there’s a lot of good golfers out there who will be surprised at the gains they could make by having more predictable spin numbers.”
