Callaway Paradym Star

Callaway’s newest entry into the club market is the very lightweight Paradym Star family, driver-fairway woods-hybrids-irons0. They replace the Epic Star Max models of two years ago.

Those looking for ultra-lightweight clubs should check out the Paradym Stars from Callaway as shown in the driver’s components. The stock shaft is available as light as 40 grams and the stock grip is just 25 grams meaning total club weight is a very slim 270 grams.

Slower driver swing speeds, less than 85 mph such as by senior men and women, can gain a big benefit in distance from use ultra-light clubs especially the driver if it is designed to produce a high launch and mid to low spin.

This performance metric carries through the rest of the family, for instance the Paradym Star iron shaft is only 50 grams.

Comparing with Callaway’s flagship Paradym brand introduced in January which has helped the company to be first place in the U.S. market for drivers, woods and irons, pricing of the Paradym Star is $100 higher for a driver and $300 higher for a set of irons.
