Historic Brackenridge Park is  the original home to the PGA TOUR in San Antonio and the first course inducted into the Texas Golf Hall of Fame. One of the tougher courses on the Trail, the A.W. Tilinghast 1916 original design, “Old Brack” was restored and re-routed in 2008 and is a wonderful city-park layout.

Cedar Creek Golf Club opened in 1989 and located in the San Antonio hill country. If you are looking for rolling terrain, two tiered firm greens and beautiful vistas, this 7,150 yard challenging muni has 5 sets of tees to make the course fun for everyone.

Mission del Lago is a wonderful test of golf that all players enjoy and appreciate. Located south of town near Mitchell Lake, Mission was designed by Denis Griffiths, the only American architect to have designed a golf course at St. Andrews Scotland. The layout is on flatter land with gullies and twists and plays like a links style course with over 100 bunkers and raised well guarded greens providing a fun challenging round.

Northern Hills is a traditional 18 hole golf course stretching to 6600 yards from the tips. Bordered by lovely stands of old trees, the fairways seem to be a little tight and the greens are always quick. It was a private course at one time so the facilities are above par with excellent event space and a charming 19th hole. Enjoy!

One of the Trail’s most popular munis, Olmos Basin is located just north of downtown and Brackenridge. Opened in 1963 with tree lined fairways, long par 3s, reachable par 5s and a creek that runs through the course, Olmos has 4 sets of tees to make your round in the Basin fun.

Riverside Golf Club has its own part in history, being the site where Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders trained in 1898. One of the oldest on the Trail, the original nine opened in 1929, while the second nine was added in 1961 across the San Antonio River, each offering a distinctive different look. If you want to improve your short game, there is 9 hole/ par 3 always available.

Welcome to the biggest little par 3 in Texas, the unique 9-hole San Pedro course is for golfers of all abilities. From sloping greens to variable tee boxes, this golf experience delivers a major opportunity to polish all aspects of your game. Players can walk, pull a cart or drive a gas-powered cart. With a 40 bay driving range, target distances, putting and chipping areas along with bunker work, it is one of the busiest on the Trail, with LED lighting for night play and practice. Some folks don’t even play golf. They just come to enjoy the  Bar & Grill with a full assortment of Texas craft beers, cocktails and a delightful and inexpensive menu with great service.

Willow Springs is located east of downtown and across the street from the home of the NBA San Antonio Spurs. It once was the home of the Texas Open and is 7,221 yards from the tips with a monster 663 yard par 5, #2, which will confound even the best. Don’t be dismayed, the rest of the course is getable once you get past #2, considered the toughest hole in all of Texas.
