New Ownership Of North Creek Golf Club Embark On Facility Improvement Plan

Southaven, MS. Boxer Resorts, the new ownership of North Creek Golf Club in Southaven, Miss., recently announced a facility enhancement plan aimed at elevating the golf, social and event experiences at the popular club in the greater Memphis area. Texas-based Boxer Resorts purchased North Creek Golf Club in July of 2020 and immediately set forth a plan to enhance the property. Property improvements already executed or underway include, but are not limited to:

In addition to the improvements to the golf course and clubhouse, the club is launching a new website and a new annual pass program and a frequent player program called the “Creek Card”.

“We purchased North Creek this past summer and immediately put a plan in place to improve the golf and social experiences at the club and for the community,” stated Michael Owen, a senior project manager with Boxer Resorts. “Golf is seeing an increase in rounds played, and we are excited to refine the North Creek experience and relaunch the club – making the club a must-play in the region and a gathering place for the community.”

It is well chronicled that golf saw a dramatic increase in demand in 2020. Despite pandemic-related course closures and play reduction at the onset of the pandemic, golf demand increased dramatically in the summer and fall. So much so, that the National Golf Foundation reported that rounds played nationally increased by 13% in 2020 over 2019 levels.
